Wow, seriously. Googling would keep you from defining entire sports based on watching a few kids tooling around on a crummy day in Florida.

If you were to watch surfing 90% of the time in Florida, you'd probably think it was insanely lame as well.

So do a little looking. Professional skimboarding is equally exciting, challenging and dangerous.

What does high performance skim boarding mean? Is it just harder tricks? Actually the next day on the beach some 20 something year old's took a stab at it and they were infinitely better than the kids we saw the day I wrote this post, so maybe skim boarding will grow on me.

I could see why you'd think skimboarding is lame judging from the lack of waves and age of the kids. There is such thing though as high performance skimboarding, which is growing quickly in the world of sports.
